A Killarney woman charged with threatening to kill or cause harm to another woman is due to reappear in court.

68-year-old Theresa O'Brien of 11 Hazelwood Drive, Ballyspillane, Killarney, appeared before the local district court recently, facing a single charge.

It's alleged that on the 27th October, 2020 in Hazelwood Drive, Ballyspillane, Theresa O'Brien made a threat to kill or cause serious harm to Margaret Harrington.

Judge David Waters previously accepted jurisdiction, after hearing the alleged threats were made when Margaret Harrington was driving past Theresa O'Brien.

The court heard that the DPP directed summary disposal, which means the case can be dealt with in the district court.

Judge Waters remanded the accused on bail, to reappear in Killarney District Court on July 20th.

Theresa O'Brien, who is represented by solicitor Brendan Ahern, must continue to abide by a number of conditions, including to: reside at her residence; give a phone number to gardaí; and have no interaction with the alleged injured party.
