The winners of this year's Animation Dingle Awards sponsored by RTÉ KIDS have been announced.
108 short animated films from 18 countries were exhibited , and the winning films were announced at Friday night's ceremony at the Dingle Skellig Hotel.
The awards were presented by Paddy Courtney.
The short film "Anam" swept the boards at this year's Animation Dingle Awards sponsored by RTÉ KIDS.
The 4 minute short film by Ailbhe Fearon and Muireann Mulvihill explores themes of mortality and the inner child.
The film won awards for Best Irish Student, Best Writer Award, Best Art Direction, Best 2D Award, Best Original Score, Best Sound Design and Best Irish Language Film.
Tumbleweed won Best International Student Film, while Assimilation won the award for Best Animation.
Death’s Peak won the award for Best Stop Motion Film, and the Best Cinematography Award went to The Cat Burgular.
The Big Pitcher Winner, was awarded to Mighty Knighticorn by Caoimhe O Brien, who has won a 3-month paid internship with JAM Media.
Best Sting and Best Game Sting went to That One Time An Phiast Fell Through Reality, and A Silent Hero
A Sparrow’s Song won the award for Best Director, The Fall won best 3D Film, and Best International Professional Short went to You Play Too Much by Rob Shaw.
Meteoric by Paul Ó Muiris won the award for Best Irish Professional Short, and is now eligible for consideration in the Animation Short Film Category of the Academy Awards.
The 2026 Murakami Award was presented to Suzanne Kelly of RTÉ.
