Mary-Thea Brosnan has won the Local Food Hero Award at this year’s Listowel Food Festival.
The Castleisland native was acknowledged for leading the way with her hand produced fermented milk drink, Kerry Kefir.
It was noted her dedication to making it the traditional and natural way, supports local farmers, benefits gut health, and sets her product apart from others.
