Wind farms in Kerry produced more electricity than any other county again last month.
Data from Green Collective shows around 11% of the country’s wind energy, or 105 gigawatt hours of power, came from wind farms in this county.
That’s compared to around 83 gigawatt hours from Cork wind farms, 65 from Mayo, and 64 from Galway.
The data shows wind energy produced in Ireland is up around 22% on the same time last year, which Wind Energy Ireland says is helping to bring down wholesale electricity prices.
Around 30% of Ireland’s electricity demand was met by Irish wind farms in June.
