Wettest October at Valentia Observatory since 2008

Valentia Observatory has recorded its wettest October since 2008.

According to Met Eireann, just over 228 millimetres of rain fell at the south Kerry weather station last month; the highest amount in the country.

Valentia also recorded the wettest day last month on October 19^th, when just over 49 millimetres of rain was recorded.

8 very wet days were recorded over the month.
