Weather conditions are continuing to wreak havoc on the county's roads.

An orange rain warning is in place for Kerry until 9pm tonight.

A number of roads around the county are closed or impassable due to flooding.

The N72 between the Laune Bridge and Beaufort Bridge is closed due to significant flooding at Ballymalis.

Motorists are also advised to divert via Milltown and Farranfore on the N22, as the Milltown-Fossa road is flooded at Listry Bridge.

The R570 between Glenflesk and Barraduff near the Glenflesk GAA field is also closed.

In South Kerry, there's bad flooding on the Ballaghisheen Pass and on the road leading to the White Strand in Cahersiveen.

The road at Cahir school is passable but best avoided, and surface water remains in many places along the rest of the R569.

In Mid Kerry, there's flooding on local roads in the Kilgobnet area, including the Board of Works road, as well as at Meanus, at Faha School and between Ballybrack railway gates and Flynn's Forge.

The road is impassable at Blackstones Bridge in Glencar.

In the Killarney area, the Mill Road is closed, while there's flooding on the L3009 between Lawlor's Cross and Finnegan's Cross and caution is advised, while the L7011 from Rossanean Cross to Coolick School is impassable.

Elsewhere, there's flooding at Ballyroe, Liscahane and near Ardfert church.

Motorists all around Kerry are asked to travel with extreme care, slow down and avoid flooded areas.

Flooding can be reported to Kerry County Council on the emergency line at 066 7183588.
