Valentia Island start-up Emerald Isle Growers has been shortlisted as a regional finalist in the Intertrade Ireland Seedcorn Investor Readiness Competition.

It’ aimed at independent ventures in the seed, start up or early stages of business development and ideally targeting international markets.

Emerald Isle Growers was developed by Krista Clem O’Sullivan and uses innovative techniques to grow high quality, sustainably produced organic produce.

They’re one of six businesses in the regional finals for Munster, which take place on November 3rd.

The winners from each region will go on to compete in the Seedcorn Final on November 26th.
