Turnout at almost 30% in parts of Kerry in presidential election

Turnout in parts of Kerry is at almost 30% in this year’s presidential election.

Independent candidate Catherine Connolly, Fine Gael’s Heather Humphreys, and Fianna Fáil candidate Jim Gavin are on today’s ballot paper, despite Jim Gavin officially withdrawing from the presidential election earlier this month.

Polls are open until 10 o'clock tonight.

In Killarney, turnout is at 29% as of 4:15pm this evening.

It’s at over 25% in Dingle, and 23% in Killorglin and Tralee.

Turnout is just under 23% in Castleisland, while Kilgarvan is at 19%.

Turnout in Cahersiveen is at 16%, while Listowel is at just 15.5% this evening.
