Tralee Town Park has received a Green Flag award.
This is an accreditation programme that recognises and rewards parks and green spaces managed to the highest standards of environmental sustainability.
This is the 6th consecutive year that Tralee Town Park has received this prestigious award.
Kerry County Council and the Tralee Municipal District have acknowledged the dedication of staff and volunteers.
They say their continuous efforts help keep the town park a welcoming and environmentally conscious space for all members of the public.
This year a total of 128 Irish parks, gardens, greenways, and wildlife sanctuaries received Green Flag status; this is an increase of eight sites compared to last year.
Mayor of Tralee, Councillor Terry O’Brien paid tribute to the council staff and everyone who contributed to the success in the Green awards.
