Tralee Chamber Alliance welcomes VAT cut for food industry but concerned about delay until July

Tralee Chamber Alliance has welcomed the VAT cut for the food industry.

The rate for food and catering businesses, as well as hairdressing services will drop from 13.5% to 9% from July 1st.

CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance Colette O’Connor says they’ve been calling for the reduction for some time.

Ms O’Connor, however is concerned about struggling businesses surviving until July.
