Tralee branch of Irish Red Cross to hold "Taster Session" for volunteers

The Tralee branch of the Irish Red Cross is hosting a Free Red Cross 'Taster Session' on Saturday, March 21st to attract prospective members.

The branch has recently launched a campaign to recruit adult volunteers to the organisation.

The organisation are hoping to strengthen the services they have on offer, which includes first aid, youth services and therapeutic hand care.

A previous taster session two years ago recruited 10 new volunteers, and it is hoped that the upcoming event will have similar results.

The three hour session next week will run from 10am to 1pm at a Tralee venue and is open to everyone over 18 years of age.

A limited number of places are available on the session and they are being offered on a first come-first served basis.
