Temperature of 18.8 degrees recorded in South Kerry yesterday

Yesterday wasn’t the hottest day of the year so far in South Kerry.

Readings taken at Valentia Observatory show the highest temperature reached was 18.8 degrees Celsius and there were nearly 14.5 hours of sunlight.

Temperatures exceeded 21 degrees in April at the South Kerry weather station.

Nationally, the highest temperature yesterday was 23.1 degrees, which was recorded at Newport Furnace in County Mayo.
