A TD is going to write to Irish Rail regarding a potential review of fencing along the rail line, after a train travelling between Tralee and Mallow hit a deer yesterday evening.

The 5.05pm Tralee to Mallow train struck a deer between Rathmore and Millstreet yesterday.

This resulted in the train being delayed by 25 minutes while the driver checked to ensure there was no damage.
