Taoiseach doesn't know why East Kerry people were asked to be vaccinated in Limerick

The Taoiseach says he doesn't know why people from East Kerry were asked to go to Limerick to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

In the Dáil this week, Kerry Independent TD Danny Healy-Rae asked the Taoiseach why people from Rathmore and Gneeveguila were being asked to go to Limerick to receive a vaccine.

Deputy Healy-Rae said that is a two hour journey, which is totally wrong when these people could travel 20 minutes to Killarney.

The Taoiseach agreed that people in East Kerry should be getting vaccinated in Killarney, and added he has a great grá for the people of Rathmore and Gneeveguila.

Micheál Martin said he will engage with the HSE on Deputy Healy-Rae's behalf and try to get it sorted.
