Sunniest June day recorded in Kerry

Kerry recorded the sunniest day in June.

Met Éireann says on Wednesday (June 30th), there was 15.3 hours of sunshine at Valentia Observatory.

However, the south Kerry weather station also recorded the most dull days over the course of the month at 11.

63.4 millimetres of rain fell at Valentia Observatory in June; well below the monthly average of 95.3 millimetres.

The average temperature was 13.1 degrees making it the warmest month in Kerry so far this year.
