A status yellow weather warning is in place for Kerry, from 1pm.
Met Éireann issued a wind warning, which is valid until 7 o’clock this evening.
The forecaster says gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour are expected in exposed areas, with high waves and sea spray also likely.
