A status yellow rain warning has been issued for Kerry.
The alert, which also covers Cork, Waterford, Tipperary, Wicklow, Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford comes into effect from midnight tonight.
Met Éireann is warning of persistent rain, heavy at times, leading to localised flooding, difficult travel conditions and poor visibility.

The warning remains in place until 6 o clock tomorrow evening.
