South Kerry road closed to flooding now reopened

The N71 road between Kenmare and the Cork county bounds has reopened after sections had been flooded.

Kerry County Council says the road is now open and passable.

It had been closed as a result of flooding, which rendered it impassable at several locations.

The council is urging motorists to drive with care.
