A South Kerry based bar has closed its doors after 37 years of business due to difficult trading conditions.
The Fertha Bar in Cahersiveen opened in 1988.
Alanna Kelleher is the second-generation publican who runs the pub, after her father opened it.
She says there are so many pressures on small business owners and it’s very difficult for small family businesses to survive.
Ms Kelleher says it’s much harder to operate her business now than it was in years gone by and she says it isn’t viable anymore.
