Some rail services from Dublin to Kerry and Cork resume

Some rail services from Dublin to Kerry and Cork have resumed.

The 5pm Heuston to Cork and 5:05pm Heuston to Tralee trains were combined for the first train to the southwest today, and a connection from Mallow to Tralee will operate.

Irish Rail's Barry Kenny says while every effort is being made to get services up and running, there are a number of routes which won't reopen tonight:
