The sod will be turned at the Kerry Food Hub this afternoon.
The hub is a not-for-profit community project located in Firies, which aims to enhance employment opportunities in the region.
Ten new units will be constructed on the site and will be available next spring.

Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Martin Heydon will visit the Kerry Food Hub this afternoon to turn the sod. Minister for Education Norma Foley will also attend.
