The sod has been turned on a €1.6 million food hub in the county.
The Listowel Food Hub, which was previously approved for funding of €1.67m from the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund, will comprise five food production units and a fitted R&D suite.
The facility in Clieveragh Business Park will provide space for mobile projects and enterprises to graduate from the food hub to their own facilities.

Listowel Food Hub Chair Jimmy Deenihan welcomed the Minister for Education Norma Foley to turn the sod for the construction of the food hub in recent days.
