Six schools in Kerry will be given additional special classes from next autumn.
St Joseph’s Secondary School, Ballybunion and five national schools - Kilflynn, Loreto in Killarney, Coolard, Murhur, and Dromclough – will benefit.
Each class will have six pupils, one teacher and one special needs assistant.

Minister for Children Norma Foley, Minister of State Michael Healy- Rae, Deputy Michael Cahill, Deputy Danny Healy-Rae ,and Senator Mike Kennelly have welcomed the news.
