Single people on a standard salary can't afford to buy homes in Kerry.
That's according to research by Newstalk, using the median salary and median house price in each county.
The median is the midpoint of a group of numbers and analysts say it often better represents what a typical worker earns than the average wage.
Based on CSO median wage stats, the maximum mortgage available to a single person in Kerry earning median wage, and with a 20% deposit, is just under €150,000 (€149,948).
This falls €25,000 short of the actual median house price in Kerry, which was €175,000 as of December last year, according to the CSO property price index.
