Seven men have now pleaded guilty to conspiring to import drugs off the Kerry coast in the non-jury Special Criminal Court.
The men were arrested in Kerry and Clare in January, and were sent forward on a single charge each to the Special Criminal Court back in July.
All seven men pleaded guilty to the single charge against them.
That is, that they conspired to import drugs of a value greater than €13,000 into Ireland with each other and other persons unknown, on dates between 18 December 2024 and 15 January 2025.
30-year-old Conor Costello of Madam’s Bank Road, Derry, appeared in the Special Criminal Court on 23 July represented by solicitor Brendan Ahern, and entered a guilty plea.
31-year-old Ryan Watson, with an address in Glasgow, also pleaded guilty in the Special Criminal Court.
On 6th October, Garry Monks, also with an address in Glasgow, entered a guilty plea in the non-jury court.
45-year-old Miljan Koprivica, of Bollin Drive, Manchester, was arraigned in the Special Criminal Court yesterday, represented by solicitor Pat Mann, and pleaded guilty to the charge.
The remaining accused are Filipino nationals 29-year-old Feljon Lao, 36-year-old Hanz Pangahin, and 43-year-old Christopher Ampo, and are represented by solicitor Pádraig O’Connell.
They were also arraigned in the non-jury court yesterday, and all entered guilty pleas.
The case has been adjourned to 3rd November, when it will be mentioned again in the Special Criminal Court in Dublin.
