A new third-level institute that offers American students the opportunity to delve into Irish culture in Dingle has officially opened.
The €12 million Sacred Heart University Daingean Uí Chúis officially opened at the site of the former Christian Brothers School.
The Courses on offer at SHU Daingean Uí Chúis cover diverse disciplines, including Celtic religious traditions, Irish folklore, Irish music, filmmaking, environmental studies and nursing.
The official opening was done by Minister for Disability, Children and Equality, Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley, and has been welcomed by fellow Kerry Fianna Fáil Deputy Michael Cahill.
