Road safety groups are upset and frustrated by the government’s u-turn on its decision to disband the RSA.
That’s according to Dr Vinne Wall of the Cork Cycling Campaign.
He was reacting after Junior Transport Minister Sean Canney said plans to split the Road Safety Authority in two have been reversed.
Dr Wall believes there needs to be a separate group established to provide specific expertise to improve road safety.
He says an overhaul is needed as the RSA is not fit for purpose.
