Part of the N71 Kenmare-Glengarriff road is closed following a crash.
The single-vehicle collision occurred just before 5pm at Dromanassig Bridge, some 5 miles from Kenmare.
Gardaí say the road is closed and possibly may remain closed for the next number of hours.
