Kerry County Council is proposing to close a road between Castleisland and Scartaglen for 24 hours.
The proposal is to close the L-3007-38 Coolnageragh, Scartaglen, Castleisland road from 8am Wednesday, December 3rd to 6pm Thursday, December 4th.
This is to facilitate a water connection to a new development.
Diversions will be clearly signposted and local access will be provided for emergency services and local residents.
Objections can be made before 4pm next Monday, November 10th and details of how to do so can be found on the Radio Kerry website.
Diversions:
Traffic travelling to Scartaglen: Divert via L-3007 to Currow; turn right onto L-2033; continue onto N23; turn right onto L-2025, Clashgannive and turn right onto R577 towards Scartaglen.
Traffic travelling from Scartaglen: Divert northwards on R577; turn left onto L-2025 Clashgannive; continue and turn left onto N23; turn left L-2033 towards Currow and left in Carrow onto L-3007.
