An Bord Pleanála has refused permission for a 36-house development in Tralee.

In November, Kerry County Council decided to materially contravene its development plan and grant permission to Dromjam Limited and Mut 10 Limited for the development at Camp Ballyseedy, Tralee.

It included 19 houses, 14 semi-detached houses and three terraced dwellings.

The decision was appealed to An Bord Pleanála by the Crystal Fountain Residents.

The board ruled the plans contravened the existing town and county development plan and an up-to-date flood risk assessment hadn't been provided.
