Planning has been granted for a new, 150-seat cinema in Listowel in an old barracks.
Thomas J McElligott was granted planning permission by Kerry County Council to convert the former Army Reserve Barracks, Sluagh Hall at William Street Upper, into a two-screen cinema.
The renovation of the derelict building will also provide a new family entertainment centre, to include a games room and arcade.
There will also be an outside mobile unit to serve hot drinks on site, and a covered e-bike charging area.
Planning was granted subject to 11 conditions.
