Planning has been granted for eight new homes on a vacant site in Dingle.
Jerry O’Sullivan has been granted planning by Kerry County Council to alter the former creamery, now brewery at the Spa Road/Conor Pass Road junction in Dingle.
Kerry County Council noted the site is at a focal point on entry to Dingle town, all structures on the site have been vacant for a number of years, and their condition is deteriorating.
The former creamery was previously converted to a brewery and visitor centre without planning permission, and the council noted it is desirable to see the re-development of the site.
Planning was granted subject to 23 conditions, including that the developer pays for pedestrian safety measures at the junction, which are estimated to cost €20,000.
