Today marks the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, with many events taking place to mark the accord.

The deal aimed to bring an end to the Troubles that resulted in the deaths of thousands of people in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Tánaiste Micheal Martin says the Good Friday Agreement opened a path to a better future for Ireland.
