Overcrowding and staffing levels to be raised at INMO conference

Overcrowding and low staffing levels will once again be the biggest issues addressed at the INMO Annual conference today.

Delegates from around the country have gathered in Wexford to discuss the future of nursing and midwifery here.

The organisation says it will put the case for enshrining safe staffing levels in legislation to the Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill when she speaks at the event tomorrow.

General Secretary Phil Ni Sheaghdha, who's from Ventry, says it's the best way to keep patients safe.
