Over €70,000 has been invested in the Kerry community through a wind farm community benefit fund.
Renewable energy company Statkraft made the contributions to community initiatives in Moyvane, and surrounding areas. The Kilathmoy wind farm is a 23mg (million watts) wind farm located on the Kerry/Limerick border; over its lifetime, it will invest over half a million into the local community.
The dedicated Community Benefit Fund is used to further local sustainable initiatives; the Moyvane Development Association's Nature Walk Trail was awarded €10,000 in the latest round of funding.
