Over 1,580 Ukrainian pupils enrolled in Kerry schools

There are 1,585 Ukrainian pupils enrolled in schools throughout Kerry.

As of the end of April, 1,026 are in Kerry primary schools, and a further 559 are enrolled in secondary schools in the county.

Nationally, there are more than 15,400 (15,458) students from Ukraine attending schools here.

The figures were released by the Department of Education.
