Over 13,800 people are on waiting lists for outpatient and inpatient appointments at University Hospital Kerry.
That’s according to figures on waiting lists from the National Treatment Purchase Fund for February.
13,811 people were waiting on outpatient and inpatient appointments at University Hospital Kerry, as of the end of February.
There are also another 661 people on the planned procedure list there – these are patients who have had treatment but require additional treatment at UHK at a future date.
Over 2,200 (2,237) are also listed on the planned procedure endoscopy list at the Tralee hospital.
These figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund from the end of February show there were more than 12,200 (12,233) people awaiting outpatients’ appointments at UHK.
Over 11,200 (11,258) of these are adults, while 975 are children.
There are more than 1,500 (1,578) people awaiting inpatients’ appointments at UHK, including for endoscopies, as of the end of February.
Meanwhile, 237 people are on the inpatient day case to come in list at the Tralee hospital, and a further 237 people are on the endoscopy to come in list.
