Over 117,000 people in Kerry are eligible to vote in today’s Presidential election.
Voting got underway at 7am and polling stations will remain open until 10pm.
In Kerry 117,500 people are eligible to cast their vote today and decide who they want to become the 10th President of Ireland.
There'll be three names on the ballot paper today - Independent candidate Catherine Connolly, Fine Gael’s Heather Humphreys and Fianna Fáil's candidate Jim Gavin, despite Mr Gavin withdrawing from the contest at the beginning of this month.
Chief Executive of An Coimisiún Toghcháin – The Electoral Commission, Art O’Leary is encouraging everyone that is eligible to vote, to use their vote before 10pm.
He says if you received a polling information card bring it to the polling station with you. However, he says you don’t need the card to vote, but you should bring a form of photo ID with you.
