An open evening will take place today for members of the public who are interested in finding out more about the Killarney Municipal District Settlements’ Plan.
The event will run from 4pm to 9pm in the Rathmore Community Centre.
Kerry County Council has prepared a Municipal District Settlements Plan for the Killarney area, which will replace the Killarney Town Development Plan.

The council says this plan will include objectives to provide a comprehensive local planning framework including land use zoning, in the interests of the common good.
The public can issue submissions or observations until July 11th; further details can be found here.
