A Kerry-based company temporarily shut down its website this afternoon after it faced interference from a third party.

Fexco, whose headquarters are in Killorglin, took down its website for a short time this afternoon after the interference, in line with its standard security protocols.

The company has told Radio Kerry that there are no data security concerns, as the website is not connected to any of its corporate IT systems, products or customer data.

Fexco's website has since returned to full functionality.
