A delegation of five Kerry councillors were in attendance at the first New Regional Health Forum meeting to take place in the county.
It had been 22 years since Kerry hosted a Southern Health Board meeting prior to the meeting held in Tralee on Friday .{February 27th}.
The Regional Health Forum South West comprises of members from Cork County Council, Kerry County Council and Cork City Council.
The meeting took place at the Council Chambers of Kerry County Council at Rathass, in Tralee.
20 county and city councillors were in attendance, including Jackie Healy-Rae, Deirdre Ferris, Marie Moloney, Norma Moriarty, and Mikey Sheehy.
Topics on the agenda included the proposed primary care centres for Cahersiveen and Rathmore, as well as the potential for an additional access point to the grounds of UHK to serve patient from the south of the county.
