The national planning body has been asked to decide on the proposed development of a major solar farm in North Kerry.
Statkraft Ireland Ltd had applied to Kerry County Council for planning permission to build solar panels across 120 hectares between Listowel and Ballylongford.
The council refused permission, partly because it would impact on the character and visuals of the landscape.
The developer, Statkraft Ireland Ltd, has now appealed this refusal to An Coimisiún Pleanála.
The national planning body is due to decide on the application by 9th March next year.
