NO REPRO FEE: Neurological Alliance Ireland highlighted the critical lack of inpatient neurorehabilitation beds for neurological patients in the South West, to political respresentatives at an event in Cork on 22.09.2025. In its Pre-budget Submission, The Neurological Alliance of Ireland has called for investment in 20 beds to begin to address the gap within the region. Pictured at the briefing were Magdalen Rogers, CEO, Neurological Alliance of Ireland and Tony Wilkinson, Cork Parkinsons Association. The NAI represents over forty charities advocating for the rights of over 860,000 people in Ireland living with a neurological condition.

People living in Kerry with brain and spinal cord conditions don’t have access to vital facilities.

That’s according to the Neurological Alliance of Ireland, an umbrella body for 40 charities nationwide supporting such patients.

It states 860,000 people in Ireland are living with a neurological condition, and there is a shortfall of neuro-rehabilitation beds nationally.
