A Milltown historian has been elected a fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
Author and researcher, Dr Owen O'Shea is already a member of the Irish Association of Professional Historians, but has now been selected to join the UK’s foremost society of historians and history.
His election was in recognition of his contribution to historical scholarship.
Dr O'Shea has published eight books to date, most recently "From Ballots to Bullets: Politics and Electioneering in Post-Civil War Kerry, 1922-33".
