An Ireland South MEP is urging the government to consider starting three new cancer screening programmes.
MEP Deirdre Clune, who represents Kerry, is calling for checks for lung, prostate and gastric cancer to be part of national screening services.
The European Union is advising these services should be available in all Member States’.

MEP Clune says, these recommendations are based on the latest available scientific evidence and technological advances.
