Calls to end daylight savings time are ramping up again.
Fine Gael MEP Seán Kelly had a meeting in Brussels last week and is writing to the Environment Minister, Darragh O'Brien, to put the issue on the agenda for the Irish Presidency, according to the Irish Daily Mail.
He says that if the EU does not end the practice permanently, it could be trialled on a temporary basis.
