An Ireland South MEP is calling on ESB Networks for clarity in the rise of power outages in Kerry.

Figures obtained by Fianna Fáil’s Cynthia Ní Mhurchú under Freedom of Information show a jump of over 40% in power cuts in the Killarney area in one year.

Nationally, planned and unplanned outages increased by more than a fifth last year.
