More than 100 people were served a full Christmas dinner by Meals on Wheels Kerry earlier today, while another 454 meals were delivered to households around the county.
This was made possible by a team of 80 volunteers, who left their own homes and families on Christmas morning, in order to help others.
Dinner was served in Tralee at the Meals on Wheels headquarters at the Tralee Community Development project building, and was followed by an afternoon of music and dancing.
Preparations began yesterday to ensure that anyone who needed a Christmas dinner delivered to their home in the greater Tralee and Killarney areas, was looked after.
