A man has been taken to hospital following an explosion at a house in Tralee yesterday evening.
The man, who is aged in his 40s, is among four people – two men, a woman and a teenager – who had to be evacuated from a house in Manor East yesterday evening.
The man’s injuries are not thought to be life threatening and no other injuries have been reported.
Emergency services attended the scene shortly after 5pm yesterday and secured the area, closing the road and brining the fire at the house under control.
Gardaí continue to maintain a presence at the scene this morning and the scene is preserved for a technical examination which is expected to be carried out this morning.
Gardaí say no criminal offence has been disclosed.
