A man was taken to hospital after a fire broke out in Killarney last evening.
The blaze occurred at St Michael’s Halting Site on the Killarney bypass, close to the fire station.
A unit at the halting site went on fire.
Two fire-fighting appliances attended the blaze at around quarter to seven.
A man in the unit was brought to University Hospital Kerry.
His injuries are not serious.
Gardaí also attended the scene; a technical examination was carried out.
Gardaí remain at the halting site today as investigations continue.
